johnlyttle Baron's mandolin playing makes me want to practise more. An inspiring musician! In addition to appreciating these tunes, I am very grateful for the online lessons at mandolessons.com, which led me here. Favorite track: Old Beech Leaves.

about

This recording was made in my home on a late November afternoon and reflects some of my favorite old time tunes at that time. I learned these tunes from my friends, at fiddle camps, and from recordings.

Endless thanks goes out to the vivid music communities, friends, and family that create the musical world that I am proud and honored to be a part of.

I am by no means a master of this music and claim no authority over these tunes, this is just how I like to play them. If you want to learn more about the styles from which these tunes come, I highly recommend seeking out the source recordings and masters of the tradition.
